With a focus on marginalized and minoritized voices, Laura Loadewyck's published writing includes theatre history, acting techniques, performance reviews, and a wide range of theater-related essays. In addition to several years as an arts reporter for NBC Channel 5 Chicago's Street Team (2008 Emmy Winner Outstanding Achievement for Alternate Media/New Media Interactivity), her work has been featured in journals, magazines, websites, and books, and she has been honored to speak about theater and the performing arts on panels across the country. As a female of mixed Hispanic background, Laura especially values raising awareness of theater artists, playwrights, productions, and companies based in the Latinx community, as well as women's contributions to and challenges within the performing arts community.
